Renato Paredes Venero currently works as a researcher, lecturer and consultant.

His focus is experimental research and computational modelling of human cognition and behaviour in neurological and psychiatric conditions.

He is the author of "Experimental Research Methodology and Statistics Insights" chapter of the book "Human-Robot Interaction Evaluation Methods and Their Standardization" published by Springer.

His work has appeared in Biological Psychiatry: Cognitive Neuroscience and Neuroimaging and International Journal of Social Robotics.

He received the 2019 Cognitive Science MSc Dissertation Prize (The University of Edinburgh) and the 2018 Excellence Scholarship "President of the Republic" (Peruvian Ministry of Education).

He studied BA Psychology with a major in Educational Psychology at Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (Peru) and MSc Cognitive Science at The University of Edinburgh (UK). He is currently pursuing a PhD in Neuroscience at National University of Cordoba (Argentina).
